Hello fellow Keyshooters,
ever had this kind of a glitch in your rendered image? (all the other renderings are just fine)
Any idea why?
Best,
Philipp

Hey Philipp!
Looks to me your GPU driver didn’t like it anymore. Well, if you rendered using GPU. If it was part of an animation and afterwards it’s ok, it looks like a file didn’t get written correctly on drive. That last part is for me always reason to check the SMART info of a drive so I know if it’s still healthy. Also a moment to do a backup again
Hmm, that’s quite interesting, thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Just strange to me, because I started a rendering job of 7 images (this one was the 3rd), and all the others are just super fine. It didn’t even show while being rendered.
For one reason this one glitched hard.
Hope this doesn’t happen anymore
I’ve had it as well with Photoshop a few times. If it crashes while writing an image you can also have the same result. And I think it even might be some temp issue with the DDR ram. Or KeyShot went to next image before finishing writing.
Doesn’t mean there’s always something really wrong. I do take such things pretty seriously though since I want to trust files written correctly. Often I download the trial of for example Hard Disk Sentinel and it gives me a nice view of my drives and how old and healthy they are.
That’s still no insurance since some drives just die suddenly but if there are also SMART errors it’s time to think about replacing
